The four great casino games

casino games

In a casino there is a wide variety of options for all players, but there are some games that over the years have become favourites.

Roulette

Believe it or not, it is the favourite of many, as it is one of the easiest to understand and where participants have many possibilities. This game originated in France in the 17th century. It was invented by Blaise Pascal, who made a wheel that is considered the first version. Later, the French Blanc brothers popularised it in Europe, especially in Monte Carlo, where it was said that they won so much money that they had a pact with the devil, who had taught them the tricks.

Blackjack

The second favourite of customers is this card game, in which players must come as close as possible to adding up to 21 with their cards without going over. Here, J, Q and K have a value of 10 and the Ace can be worth 11 or one. Its history begins in Spain, where something called “twenty-one” was played and the objective was to reach that number, that is to say, it was very similar to the current one. Some texts by Miguel de Cervantes already talk about this game in the year 1440, so that is considered its year of birth.

Slots

These famous slot machines are also among the most popular because of the great variety of themes and prizes they offer. Slots first saw the light of day in the late 19th century in the United States and in England at about the same time, when automatic machines emerged. The first ones were music, film clips or vending machines, but soon after they developed into three-line machines with symbols that had to be the same to win.

Poker

Poker is another favourite all over the world, and has even made it onto television. In this traditional game you must have cards of the same colour or the same suit to win.

It has several fathers, as there are different antecedents that have shaped it. The first one dates back to the year 900, in China, as a variant of dominoes. Others say that it was the Persians with their game “as nas” who invented it. However, the closest to its origin is in France with “Poque”, which was played with 25 cards of 5 suits and 5 players. It arrived in New Orleans in 1840.

Many believe that the highest hand in poker is poker itself, that is, four cards of the same value in the hand; however, it is not so, that is why we explain what are the best hands of the game and so you can have fun in our Casino.

Royal Flush

This is the highest hand in the game and consists of five cards of the same suit, which must be 10, J (Jack), Q (Queen), K (King) and Ace. If luck sends you this hand, you have nothing to worry about as you will almost certainly win the game.

Straight Flush

This is the second highest straight flush you can have. It consists of five cards of the same suit, in ascending order, without reaching the Ace. This hand can be formed from 2 to 6, or from 9 to K (King), but if it does not reach the Ace it is not a royal flush. This is having the four cards of the same value and an extra card that completes the five. You might think that this is the best hand, as it gives the game its name, but the odds tell us that it is more computational.

If your favourite game is not one of the above, don’t worry, you will surely find it in our Casino, where you can have hours of fun. In addition to the traditional formats, we have some variations that will make you discover a new world of options to expand your list of games.
